Question: Is it legal to make moonshine!?
I was making moonshine with a Portugee man and he told me as long as you don't intentionally destroy the vegetal matter it is OK!. We had just finished grinding grapes for wine and we used the mulch, along with a bag of sugar to make grappa!. Was he bs-ing me or is her right!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

In the U!.S!. it is illegal to distill alcohol without a federal permit!.You are allowed to freeze and pour off the stronger alcohol but thats it!.You can get up to about 30% alcohol with the freezing method!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have no idea what you're talking about in the main post, but no it is not legal to make moonshine!.

You are only allowed to distill beverages, as far as I am aware, legally in the countries of New Zealand and Australia!. You need a license in both cases, which is fairly easy to obtain!.

It depends on the state actually!. It was banned a long time ago but some people tried reinforcing it!. You need to look up your local laws, not take advice from people on here!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
