For a white, you could go with a Pinot Grigio or Moscato!. They're somewhere in the middle range as far as sweetness/dryness goes!. Or, you could go with a rose or a blush wine!. They're not too sweet, nor too dry!.
For a red, you could go with a blended Merlot!. This makes this normally dry wine, a little sweeter!.

Barton & Guestier's Pouilly-Fuissé would be appropriate!. It's well-balanced and has a nice finish!. It has a mild bubbly finish from the fermentation process!. It's not overpriced, but it's quality enough to welcome someone into the mid twenties!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
