Germany: The Reinheitsgebot is actually more of a modern guide and not a food law as it once was!. Many German brewers do use adjuncts and additives to their beers (as do the Dutch-Heineken for example, is a regular mass produced chemical laden beer)!.

They are delicious (Ayinger and Hacker Pschorr especially)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I go back to Germany very regularily, and will definately make an attempt to drink the local brews as much as possible, but wont turn down the main brews either, if they are there!. But I found many of the smaller "local" breweries to be my favorites!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I take it that you mean "or" some imported swill :)

As someone who visits Germany regularly, I always drink the local beer!. The German beer purity laws make the beer in Germany - for me - by far the best in the world!.
