Question: Why do things like lemonade and cherryade end in "ADE"!?

we borrowed the ending from the french "limonade," and basically just applied it to various other fruity drinks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it has to do with the sugar!. the lemon part is sour and that "ADE" part is sweet!. the sweet helps you deal with the sour!. but it tastes good that way :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

"Ade" is a suffix denoting the product or result of an action or process!. So making lemons into lemonade is a process!.!.!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
