They usually put SALT around a margarita!. They have it at liquor stores or even supermakets!. I've seen some fancy kinda flavored sugars for the rims for other fruity drinks at stores like ROSS or MARSHALL'S!.!.!.
Good Luck! You could always just use sugar or normal salt!
Sometimes I take sugar, add a couple packets of Kool-Aid (that are the color of the drink im making) and rim my glasses with that!. Tastes yummy and looks cute!

Don't feel dumb a lot of places use either a coarser sugar or colored sugar just to look better!. Either of these options can usually be found in a grocers baking section!. And as most people are saying salt is traditional, but that's just for a standard margarita!. Flavored ones can go either way, sugar or salt!.
As far as the salt goes, you can find it where margarita mix is sold or just use standard Kosher salt!. It's coarser than table salt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The sugar, is usually regular sugar!. But usually a sugar rim is for a daiquiri!.
The salt is also usually regular salt, but if you mean special margarita salt, you can usually find it around the booze section of any well-stocked grocery store, right around where you'd find the margarita mix!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
