Question: Hi all, is it true that cola cola and pepsi contain alcohol something like 0!.005%!?
Answers:
no, coke a cola used to have actual "coke" in it!. possibly where this rumor started!. There are no sugar alcohols either!. sugar alcohol is from xylitol and sorbitol which are fake sugars!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

suppose it depends on which country you live in, but I belive the cola companies are duty bound to put alc!. cont!. % on tin / bottle! So I would say 'read the lable!.' :)

As it is, my father is not allowed any alc!. for medical reasons - yet he drinks (cheap) cola!.

also, as I see it, cola is not fermented, so the sugar is not turned to alc!.

Last, I do not know about any natural (not deliberately fermented) alc!. in any soft drink!. Shandy has alc!. from the beer used in its production though!. :)

Never heard about that!. They're made by carbonated water, sugar or sweeteners, color (caramel E150d, for example), caffeine, phosphoric acid, citric acid!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No and if they did contain !.005%, well it would take a lot of Coke/Pepsi to get you drunk, I'd say at the very least, a gallon!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No coke and Pepsi are about as alcoholic of a beverage as bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sugar alcohol, perhaps!.

But I really doubt it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
