How long does an open jug of apple cider take to turn into alcohol?!
I just drank some after it's been sitting there 2 1/2 weeks and I am under 21 and have to drive today!. Just wondering if it would be smart to have someone else drive and if it ferments this quicklyWww@FoodAQ@Com

If you haven't done anything or added anything to the apple cider then there is no way it could turn to alcohol! If it has been just sitting out or open for a period of time then it is just plain bad!. In order for a fruit juice to turn into alcohol, yeasts have to be added!. The yeasts will eat the sugar and turn it into alcohol!. This is called fermentation!. Turning fruit juice into alcohol is a manual process - it doesn't just happen on its own!Www@FoodAQ@Com
