Throwing party need glassware help?!
I am throwing a bridal shower with a wine and cheese theme but I don't have enough glasses for everyone!. Honestly I only own 4 glasses and it will be a party of 10ish!. Most likely we will have both white and red wines so what glasses should I have!. Is there glasses that can be used for both wines!? also any cheap ideas on purchasing these glasses!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

Linen's and Things sells a 12 pack of decent wine glasses for cheap!. I purchased a few boxes for 9!.99 but that was a few years ago!. You only need to have 1 type of glass since most people will pick one type of wine and stick with it (unless you are having a wine tasting and then people rinse out their glasses between each wine anyway!.)
I prefer these glasses over the dollar store kind and certainly over the plastic ones because they don't have any obvious flaws in the glass and hard plastic always feels funny to my mouth!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you want to go the inexpensive route!.!.!.
- get some plastic or pretty paper cups (any party store)
- buy some bridal themed-stickers and some bright colored permanent magic markers (like Sharpie brand) perhaps in the colors of the wedding theme
- as each guest arrives, hand them a cup and ask them to create their own special cup by using the stickers and markers to decorate it
- this will be fun and certainly a huge conversation creator, maybe even entertainment if you have the right guests

There is a such thing as "multi-purpose" wine glasses!. These are suitable for serving both red and white wines in!. Typically red wine glasses are wider or have a larger base!. White wine glasses tend to be slightly thinner/taller!. Multi-purpose glasses are something in-between the two!. If you go to a Dollar Store like "Everything's a Dollar," you usually can find these real glass glasses for - you guessed it $1!. This would probably be your best option!. Let's face it, plastic is just tacky! If you can't find them at the dollar store, Wal-Mart may be almost as cheap!. They usually sell these glasses in a four pack for under $5!.00!. Go to the dollar store, they have all kinds of glassware there!. The girls aren't going to probably notice if you use one type glass for both wine varieties!. They will be too busy having fun :)

I would just get some acrylic generic wine glasses, or even some small plastic disposable wine glasses!. Some places will do wine tastings in your home and bring the glasses, that might be something to look into!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
