Creative Morning Cocktails?!
This Saturday is one of the two days in the year, I drink prior to the afternoon, it's homecoming, which is code for everyone get sloshed and miss the football game!. I wanted some cocktail recipes for the morning, other than the normal, mimosa, screwdriver and bloody mary!. Thanks!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I think of an early afternoon drink I think of something light!. Something for sipping on the porch!. I am very into Fizz cocktails, which are very under the radar!. They are light and refreshing and you can do them in many styles with all different kinds of liquor, muddle fresh fruit in, ect!. Robert Hess makes 3 different ones on his show!. Check them out (linked)!. The Bucks Fizz (first link) is most likely the best replacement for Mimosa and will have a bit more kick!.
Try Cava or Prosecco rather than Champagne, they are a much better value!.

This is the perfect Football cocktail!. It's called a touchdown!.
Touchdown Recipe
4 oz bourbon
8 oz lemonade
8 oz iced tea (unsweetened)
Combine bourbon with iced tea in a mixing glass filled with ice!. Strain equal parts into two Hurricane glasses filled with ice!. Top with lemonade!. (Makes two 12-ounce servings!.)
False Start
4 oz apple cider
2 oz bourbon
1 oz apple brandy
1/2 lemon
In a shaker filled with cracked ice squeeze juice of lemon!. Shake well with cider and spirits!. Strain into two rocks glasses filled with ice cubes!. (Makes two 4-ounce servings!.)

For our morning tailgating cocktail we love pinapple upsidedown cakes! Tastes just like the cake!.!.!.!.it's one part vanilla vodka, one and a half parts pinapple juice and a splash of cherry grenadine!.!.!.!.yumm!!

Pina Colada's are good in the morning!.!.!.I use coconut flavored rum with Dole's Pineapple-Orange-Banana juice and a lime wedge in mine!.!.!.it's like having a tropical fruit salad in a drink!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
