Question: Why is it that glass liquor glasses are always filled <= 1/4th full!?
Really common with scotch!. Why not just make the glass a little smaller!? Easiest reference for me is movies and TV shows where this happens!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You're supposed to be able to swirl the glass around in between sips when you drink it!. This either mixes the melting ice in with the alcohol or kind of aerates the alcohol a bit, to release more of the flavor!.

With something like a brandy snifter, your supposed to be able to hold the bottom of the bowl part of the snifter in the palm of your hand and swirl the brandy around the snifter!. This warms up the brandy a bit to make it more aromatic as you drink it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Imagine trying to drink out of a thimble!. That's why the glasses aren't smaller!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
