Answers:
Distilled alcohol can last for decades, open or sealed!.

But to be more specific about your vodka question, all vodkas are meant to be drank as cold as possible!. That eliminates the hair spray smell and reduces the harshness if you bought something below the top shelf!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not forever

there will be osmosis, and leaching and alcohol will break down eventually!.!.!.!. but it can take hundreds of years with something like vodka!. glass bottled vodka will hold up better than plastic, but they both will still let in and out chemicals slowly, mostly around and through the cap!.

as for flavor, standard vodka is made fairly flavorless, but there is still some notes!.!.!. that can get funky if its exposed to excessive sunlight and such!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I never refrigerate vodka, and I drink it regularly!.!.!. So you're probably okay whether you do or you don't!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
