Bottle of white wine sitting, unopened, on a shelf since Christmas; is it still good?!

Question: Bottle of white wine sitting, unopened, on a shelf since Christmas; is it still good!?
Answers:
Absolutely!. Cheers!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It really all depends on a few things!.

Is the bottle at enough of an agle to keep the cork moist!?
if the bottle is sitting upright then NO, the is too much of a chance of air entering and effecting the wine!.

Is the wine in an area the it will never reach more than 75 degrees or not a whole lot of sun light!.
If the wine goes over 75 to 80 degrees for to long it will make the wine continue to ferment and it will probably not taste good!.

And Finally
How much did the bottle cost!?
My rule of thumb is usually anything under $15 is only good for a year!.
Anything over $15 will usually store well and taste just as good if not better 10 years down the road if stored propperly!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Probably fine!. Hold it up to the light to see if the wine is clear!. If not, throw it away!. If the wine is still clear, open it and pour some into a glass and sniff, then sip!. Won't kill you!. May not be good, because it's supposed to be kept cool!. Cork may be bad if you left it standing up and the cork was allowed to dry out!.

Wouldn't have lasted a week around my place!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

as long as it's unopened, yes!!

wine tastes better the longer it sits!. that's why old wines are more expensive!. but make sure once you open it to keep in in the refrigerator!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sure is! Wine just tasted funny if it goes from cold to warm!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pop that cork and lets enjoy it !.!.!.!. age only makes it better !.!.!. kinda like me!.!.!. cheersWww@FoodAQ@Com
