How long should I condition my stout? ?!
I fermented in primary for 1 week!. I then added 100% pure powdered chocolate to the secondary and fermented for another 2 weeks!. I've now bottled them while adding another 1oz!. of chocolate powder to the bottling bucket!. Because of the chocolate, I've heard that I need to bottle condition for 3 months before it will actually have a good flavor!. Is this true!? I don't need it until february, so most of it won't be drank until then anyways, but I'd like to try a few over the next few months and see what I think!. Should I wait the usual 2 weeks before trying, or longer!? I'm new to brewing and just trying to figure it all out!. Thanks!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is more of a coco-stout than a chocolate one!.
This is where/when Papazian said to take notes comes into play!. Give them a week or two and begin sampling a bottle or two per week!. While tasting take notes about the flavor and general experience!. You will then have a history of how it matured over time!. You will also be able to reference the notes when you brew it again!.

Yeah 3 months is what I have heard as well!. If you have enough that you can risk opening a few prior, why not!. It will be a good way to learn whats going on inside the bottle!
Best of luck and a chocolate stout sounds delicious right about now and seems like the perfect Valentines Day drink!
