How about an 'awards ceremony' theme!?

You can do the 'dress like a celebrity' thing, walk along a red carpet into the venue and have a small presentation where people give out awards!.
Red carpets/rugs wouldn't cost much!. A few fake awards to hand out (and do them for 'Best dressed' and 'Most inspired'!.!.!. that kind of thing!.!.!. and have your friends/guests win most of them so they feel included, but obv you'd win the best one) and hire a couple of photographers to pretend to be paparazzi all night!.
You could get a DJ for the music and some people to work as 'waiters' carrying drinks to people!.

Just an idea!.

That was something I wish I could have done if -
1) We celebrated Sweet Sixteens (which we don't, in the UK)
2) I had the money!.

It would certainly be different and talked about!.!.!. and I'm sure on that kind of budget it would be easy enough!Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are a lot of things you can do with £30,000!.
If you're generous and want to do something meaningful, you could help not just one but several charities!.
If you want to take some responsibility for your future, you can save it for university!.
If you want some financial freedom, now is a pretty good time to pick out some bargain investments!.
If you want to enjoy yourself, spend a few weeks somewhere nice with your family or friends!. Hopefully you'll meet people in parts of the world who don't have the energy to care when their birthday is!.

I know I'm being judgmental - it is your dad's money!. And I hope this is perhaps some stupid hoax!. But I hope you will realise that a sweet sixteen party is a really stupid way to spend that sort of money!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Give the money to charity!. Have a small party with a few friends who are your real friends, and who don't suck up to you because you come from a family with ostentatious wealth!.

Thirty thousand pounds for a birthday party!?

Your priorities are out of order, and so are your dad's!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

you could take like 50 of your favourite friends, and fly them all to a different country, somewhere warm, and have a tropcial theme party with live band, on a beach, with cocktails, swimming, dancing and then a couple of nights in a hotel then fly everyone back home!.

£30,000 should be enough for that!.
