Why do people push against their teeth after having a drink?!

Question: Why do people push against their teeth after having a drink!?
I've mostly seen this on TV and stuff!. I don't drink, but every time someone drinks a shot of something they always push their tongue against their teeth or push their fingers against their teeth!. Why is that!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It's only done after shots!.

Shots of hard liquor, especially stronger liquors, taste horrible!. It kind of burns!. It's just a natural reaction to the taste of the shot!.

In movies and such, they may exaggerate this effect so that the viewer understands the character was taking a shot of something particularly strong!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Perhaps it's because the shot was cold and it caused that slightly painful tingly feeling upon passing the teeth!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have noticed it too!.!.!.mostly old white haired men do it!.!.!.

maybe to look tough!.!.!.I dont know any guys who do that in real life lol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
