Cork slightly popped from a bottle of red wine.?!
I accidentally left a recently purchased bottle of red wine in my car for one day when the temperature climbed!. The cork popped out about an 1/8th of an inch; enough to break the metal seal!. Should I be concerned!? Is it ruined!?

Probably not ruined, but not ideal either!.
Plan on enjoying it as soon as possible with a meal!.
If you taste it and it isn't what you hoped!.!.!.!.!.DON'T TOSS IT!
COOK WITH IT!
find a nice recipe for beef bourgignon - or coq au vin, or something that cooks with a whole bottle of red!. The diminished quality won't be that noticeable in a recipe\

If the seal's been broken you'll be able to tell because the side of the cork will be red too!. However, even if the seal has been broken it's probably not the end of the world!. Taste it!. If it tastes good you're in the clear!. If it doesn't, at least you can cook with it!.
The chemistry probably didn't change as one poster suggested!. Instead, things expand when they get hot!. As you say, the temperature climbed when it was in the car so that's probably what happened!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it should be fine, corks do come in a variety of sizes, the length of the cork does not determine freshness, however if air has been allowed to enter the bottle, it shouldn't be to bad, at the end of the day it would be no different than you decanting it prior to drinkWww@FoodAQ@Com
it is definitely ruined, there was a change in the chemistry and it caused the pressure in there to rise therefore releasing some of the cork!. i would not drink it!. when i buy wine it is like a child i carry it everywhere till i get home!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's probably not ruined!.!.!.but it's probably not going to be as good as if you hadn't tortured it so!.
It may have lost some freshness and gained some sourness!.
I have had bottles like that which were perfectly fine as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
