What's a decent scotch wiskey for under $60? Is scotch only taken straight or can it be mixed?!

nobody in scotland drinks johnny walker because its **** - thats why we export it!!! stay away from blended malts, go for a single malt!. island malts have salty flavour, lowland malts have a smokey flavour, highland malts have a peaty flavour!. it is acceptable to add ice or straight water but it must be of good quality!. drinking whiskey is like drinking wine - you are looking for the different flavours in the glass!.

It depends on what you mean by decent!. there are plenty of 12 year old blended scotchs in that price range, and even a few good single malts!. Only the top aged single malts, or very aged blends will be above $60!. if you are looking for single malts the whole point is to savor the taste and subtleties so drink them straight or maybe with a splash of water!.
Scotch can be mixed with any mixer you would use for other spirits, but coke, lemonade, or club soda are quite popular!. when I get scotch for mixers its usually Johnny Walker red, or Cutty Sark!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are a lot of "decent" scotch whisky for under $60!.00!. As someone else stated, Johnny Walker Black Label is about 35!.00 or less for a 750ml bottle and it is very good!. Glenlivet and Dewars are also under 60!.00!. Above 60!.00 are usually the super premiums that aren't always worth the extra money, they are often bought as a sign of conspicuous consumption to impress other people!.

Johnny Walker Red, Glenlivet!. Glenfidich, Chavis ot bar!. Neat or Straight is best prefered others on the rocks or water!. Drambui is a nice scotch liqouir as well!. Can be mixed with ginger ale!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
