Should Christians drink alcohol?!

I dont think there is anything Biblically wrong with drinking alcohol, but I dont think its right to get drunk!.!.!. and I dont think its right to tempt other people to drink if they dont need to (underage, addict, etc)!.!.!.!. and its not right to drink in the presence of other Christians who dont think its right (as in being a stumblingblock to them)Www@FoodAQ@Com
Agreeing with posters except for "wine had less alcohol back then!.' Really!? How!? Wine is wine, it's a fermentation process (as is beer), resulting in +/- 8 to 12% ABV!.
It took Arab scientists to make the alambic, which allowed for fermented booze to become concentrated by distillation!. Odd, huh, that the people who invented distillation (originally for perfumes and medicines) eschew its distilled alcohol product (except in the more secular Muslim countries, which make darned good beer, arak, ouzo, etc!.) in Islam!.
But hey! Each to their own!. Drinkers shouldn't force it onto others and teetotalers shouldn't impose their will on those who choose to quaff!.

But wine back then had much less alcohol content and was often safer than drinking the water!.
