Should I worry about drinking a beer if there is rust under the cap?!

Question: Should I worry about drinking a beer if there is rust under the cap!?
I removed the bottle cap and there is a little bit of rust around the lip of the bottle!. Is it harmful if swallowed!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
The beer is likely fine, the rust is probably from water getting on the cap after it was bottled!. If it tastes good, it certainly wont kill you!. As far as the little rust that might be left on the lip of the botte, it wont be enough to hurt you in any case!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you know the difference between Smithwicks and yellow water, go out and buy a cheap bottle of seltzer (which probably has more flavor than an old Bud Light)!.

But to answer your question, rust itself isn't dangerous in that quantity, but what else might be mixed in with it (airborne stuff) might be!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i've been drinking for a few years now!.!.!. ok several years and there is no way i would drink it!. you have no idea how that rust got there!. not so much that the rust would hurt you but was it sealed right and if not you have no idea what could be in the bottle!. throw it away its a cheap beer and open another one and the born on date isn't old enough for it to be out dated!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

dude **** the bald guy! throw it away (or at a rock!)
you dont want to drink that beer, you could die, but most likely you will just **** your brains out for weeks!.

I wouldn't drink it!. If there is rust in the cap then air has probably leaked in allowing for other arobic organisms to grow!. Have a beer toss instead!Www@FoodAQ@Com

The beer is likely expired if there is rust on the cap!. Throw it way!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
