That's the kit I started with!. I had help from Papazian's basic book and from the proprietor of a home brew shop in the next town!. Warning: it gets addictive!. I now build equipment and scour flea markets for carboys and such!. It keeps me so busy, I no longer have time to drink the beer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes by all means use it!. They(kits) have been carefully refined over the years to produce a nice brew!. Later, with experience you can devise your own extract recipes!. And as stated it is addictive!. Many of brewers get to searching, constructing, and purchasing better equipment to brew that perfect batch!.

Keys to home brewing:
1!. Sanitation!. Clean everything with TSP or other non sudzing detergent!. Then sanitize all (I Mean All) equipment used after the hot-side or boil step!.

2!. Keep records!. Length of times of a process, temperatures of the bitter-wort at time yeast is added; temp!. of the fermentation, ingredients and how they were used, ETC!.

3!. Relax, it is just a home brew!.

4!. Sanitize!

5!. Share & Enjoy your beer!.
