How long should I wait to drink alcohol after eating?!

Question: How long should I wait to drink alcohol after eating!?
Okay, so I want to get a little drunk tonight!. I just ate a fairly large meal about 45 minutes ago!. How long should I wait to start drinking so the alcohol has a decent effect!?

I didn't spend money on booze for it to just be soaked up by food, you know!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depends what you're drinking! And how thirsty you are!. Good beer ie 6% or more works well pretty soon, but if you're going for cognac, I'd say it'll take around 30 minutes!. Wine is good, but get the 14% and even after food, you should feel the effects after a bottle, and just keep going!. Are you drinking alone!?

make sure your stomach has settled from all that food!. if its been an hour and you don't feel stuffed any longer go ahead and drink if you still feel full wait another half hour and go for it!. really the food won't absorb the alcohol the alcohol goes into your blood stream its just that on a full stomach it will take a bit longer for you to feel the affects of the alcohol!. enjoy and remember tomorrow is still a work day! no red eyes or hangovers for work!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If the goal is to get drunk, then just eat a light meal!. Remember that next time!.

As for now, try to give it a few hours, or just drink more than you usually do!. If you ate a ton of protein, then it's going to be quite a while!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't really think it makes a difference, just last week I got drunk and I was drinking WITH food :)

but I guess if you really want to get drunk then wait about 30-45 minutes (about how long they tell you to wait to go swimming so that your food will digest properly)Www@FoodAQ@Com

JUST WAIT A COUPLE OF HOURS MAYBE 2 HOURS SHOULD BE ENOUGH AND YOU CAN DRINK, BUT I HAVE TO TELL YOU DON'T COUNT THE HOURS JUST WAIT TILL YOU FEEL GOOD WHAT I MEAN IS NOT TO FULL AND NOT TO HUNGRY JUST RIGHTWww@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on what you ate and how much of it!. If you ate enough of the right things, 6-8 hours!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
