In your example which is not to any extreme both substances be they stimulants or depressants will definitely be Diuretics!.
The caffeine will not adversely react with the alcohol, nor will it changes its effects!. Both combined will just cause more urination, and a possible headache the next day!.
I think it's common knowledge that many substance cocktails can have critical, even terminal effects, but not starbucks and Jack Daniels!.

When you go to a bar, especially on New Years' Eve, they make sure they have plenty of strong "coffee" on hand! Coffee is what most people use to get 'sobered up'!

It's certainly not lethal, but it probably won't make you feel very good!. I have friends that mix alcohol with Red Bull, and it gives a really bad hangover, but nothing fatal!. However, stimulants will certainly not make you sober!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
