Anheuser-Busch is well known within the brewing industry for having the highest quality beers!. They produce their beers from pure fresh ingredients, which include carefully monitored barley, whole cone hops, and their own cultured yeast!. But it is the quality control program that sets them apart!. Intense testing and control procedures are what give them the industries high quality edge!.

Most beers from (imported) Europe are in fact not light struck, the beer defect-condition, which produces a "skunk" like aroma in beer!. The chemical responsible for the defect is isopentenyl mercaptan!. A sulfur-based compound that has its origins in the hops used in brewing!.

In the strictest sense the only adjuncts in beer are the unfermentable sources!. Unfermentable dextrin can be considered an adjunct!. But today many people follow a silly little rule that says only barley can be used for brewing beer!. And by extension of this rule wheat may be used also!. They claim that these make beer!. Any other grain used is to be considered an adjunct even when it contributes to the fermentable and unfermentable sugars, body, color, flavor, and foam head of a beer!. As you can see it is a very old silly rule!. But following this rule the beers that we enjoy with adjunct grain can be such styles as Oatmeal Stouts, Wheat Beers, Beers with Corn maize and rice-the American Pilsners as you listed above!.

Many craft beers are not high quality!. They are of a high flavor but not always high quality!. There is a very important difference!. Craft brewers often hide their lack of brewing skills by masking off-flavors in the heavily flavorful beers!. Yes they do brew some very good beers!. Another important fact is that not all craft beers are 100% barley!. Many craft beers use adjunct ingredients, including sugars!.

All of these beers are of the highest quality!.!.!. As that they are beers made in massive quantity with no deviation in flavor and free of faults in the brewing, fermentation and bottling process!.

But none of those beers are made from 100% barley malt, which in the end is what makes beer!. Of course there are beers with a portion of wheat in the recipe, which would also be considered and adjunct free beer!.

High quality beer is craft beer!. Beer made with 100% barley malt that exhibits flavors of the malt, hops and yeast!. Depending on style!.

Pilsener Urquell is the Great Grand Daddy of all the beers you mentioned!. It is what Bud, Miller, Heinken and the like evolved from!. This is a high quality beer and one close to those beers you may be able to enjoy!. If it isn't skunked, which 9 times out of 10 beers imported from Europe are skunked!. thats what gives Heiniken its signature taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
