Answers:
Had a few beers (sips actually) as a child!. I would be fed a sip by my grandfather and uncles!. It was not a big deal just a silly guys thing in Czech culture!. I would then snatch a sip when I could!. My first American beer was Budweiser!. I like it but it was never in a family members home!. About this time I could drink a beer or two with my father & uncles without the women freaking out!. But I drank whatever my friends did which was Bud, Michelob, Henry Weinhardt, etc!.

I began brewing in the USAF after buying a mail-order kit!. Real bad beer but everyone loved it because I made it!. Actually, more likely the buzz!. But we also had both on base and off beer stores with great imported beers!. It could be anything and we'd give it a try!. It was a challenge of sorts to find a beer one one has had!. After a few years of homebrewing and a visit to the fledgling Sierra Nevada Brewery, it was a one room warehouse operation then, I earned a formal brewing education at UCD!.

Today, I brew, consultant, judge, and drink a huge assortment of beers!. Although, I still drink Bud I prefer other Pilsners!. As you can imagine when visiting family in the Czech Republic I am drinking some wonderful Pilsners!. But a great selection of German and Belgian beers are available and enjoyed as well!.

I was the first person in my college circle (about 25 years ago) who drank Sam Adams!. My friends thought I was crazy because a case of Sam cost about four dollars more than a case of Bud!.

I looked for better beers and, eleven years ago, received a brewing kit for Christmas!. Today, about 80 percent of the beer I drink is homebrewed!.

Beer has been a part of my life since birth!. My father drank it, my grandfather drank it!.!.!.I drink it!. Though I started with Black Label, PBR and Miller Lite, I soon wondered if there was more to beer than this!. Then I came across Aventinus, Allagash and Chimay!. Unfortunately they were all in the same night and I had one heck of a drunk on!.

The progression from drinking "real" beer to brewing my own was a logical progression!.!.!.for me at least!. People weren't making the beers I really wanted!. Orange Saisons, Cranberry Almond Brown Ales and Chocolate Milk Imperial Stouts!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
