Was saving a white wine...but just spotted some cork floating in it...?!
is this a bad bottle now!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not really!. It is possible the cork dried out and flaked or rotted, but unless it was stored improperly, or is really old (10+ years) I think thats unlikely!. You should just drink it, but taste it first!. If it is bad (tastes like dirt, bad dirt not good dirt if that makes sence) or like cardboard, you have a flawed wine!. Bring it back to the wine store and the should give you a new bottle!. Wine stores can send bad bottles back and get refunds from distributors, so dont let them tell you they cant do it!. I used to take bottles back that tasted fine, couldn't argue with pushy customers who didnt know what they were doing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Hello, hard to say without knowing a little more!. How have you been storing it and where!?
If you have not, try this, lay the bottle on its side in cool, dark place!. Come back in a few days and look at the edge of the foil covering the top of the bottle!. If you see wetness or streaks coming from under the foil, the cork is bad!. Wine will not be good!.
Or, easier til, take off the foil and look at the cork!. It should be dry and tight!. Greenish mold is not a good sign, but the wine can still be good!. If the cork is all wet, not good!. If the cork dry, you can still do the above to check for tighness!.
If the cork is good, the wine, absent any other info, should be fine!. Bits and pieces of cork or sediments in the wine is fine, you'll just need to strain it out or decant it!.
Hope this helps, good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There's shouldn't be anything wrong with it if you've kept it in the fridge!. If it is bad, it will smell/tastes like vinegar!.
If the cork pieces bother you, you could pour the wine through a piece of cheesecloth or a coffee filter!. I've had this happen lots of times and I just take the pieces out with my fingers, or ignore them if they're very small!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
