What kind of Patron is better, I'm going to get a bottle for my bf for his birthday, price really isn't an option!.

If he really enjoys tequila, get him a bottle of El Tesoro or Herradura or even Cabo Wabo!. Patron is only popular because of the marketing!. Almost all of the 100% agave tequilas taste better!. In general, guys prefer to drink anejo tequila (aged 1-3 yrs) vs blanco (unaged), which is preferred by women!. Just a generality that a couple of tequila distributers have noticed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

blanco ("white") or plata ("silver") – white spirit, un-aged and bottled or stored immediately after distillation, or aged less than two months in oak barrels;
oro ("gold") – un-aged "blanco" tequila, blended with rested or aged tequilas, and often with caramel coloring, sugar-based syrup, glycerin, and/or oak extract added so as to resemble aged tequila;
reposado ("rested") – aged a minimum of two months, but less than a year in oak barrels;
a?ejo ("aged" or "vintage") – aged a minimum of one year, but less than 3 years in oak barrels
My girlfriend bought be a bottle of Patron anejo, it is amazing tequila (and by far the most expensive)!. If he likes his tequila that will go down well!.
You price is not an issue (option!?) but is is very expensive (at least here in australia)!.!. the next best option, and considerably cheaper, is the reposado, also an excellent tequila!. Enjoy
