What is wrong with drinking a few drinks at work?!

Question: What is wrong with drinking a few drinks at work!?
Sometimes on my lunch break, I will go out to my car and have a few shots of Jim Beam and a cold beer!. Then, when I go back to the machine shop to manufacture break linings for cars, I feel relaxed and comfortable around the heavy equipment!. Why do I get the feeling that people disapprove of this!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
HEY, I used 2 manufacture break linings myself in the mid- 70's - only back then, the disc & drum pads were ASBESTOS - used to breath in clouds of it all day (it was way too hot in there to wear respirators, most of the time ! All weekend I'd cough up black chunks - ended up getting asthma !! @ lunchtime we'd walk down the block to the nearest bar & drink shots & beer chasers - SOME things NEVER change !! -lol (guess some might feel it's a safety hazard- liability & all: like the owners & bosses that don't have to do the work & don't realize that a few pops R the only thing that makes such work bearable !Www@FoodAQ@Com

When you are fabricating a very important component that prevents people from fatal accidents, it's probably a good idea to avoid any kind of inebriation!. You obviously have an issue if you can down that many drinks in that amount of time and not be drunk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Because alcohol negatively affects your abilities!. You are not only responsible for yourself- but others in the building that work in the same area!. If you were a bartender imbibing at work would be acceptable- machinist really shouldn't!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is more than likely that they disapprove of you not seeking help for your diseaseWww@FoodAQ@Com
