Does an unopened Smirnoff expire?!

Question: Does an unopened Smirnoff expire!?
My sister left an unopened bottle of Smirnoff in our closet when she moved out, and it's been sitting there for a while!. I checked the expiry date, and I think it might have expired in 2006, but I might have read it wrong!. :)

I wanna drink it, but I don't know how it would taste!.

Will it be flat!? Will it make me sick!? Will the punch be gone!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Smirnoff vodka consists of distilled alcohol diluted with purified water, both of which take very very very long time to go "bad"

other types of alcohol that is not distilled like wine or beer, go bad more quickly because there's still yeast inside and because it doesn't have enough alcohol concentration to have a strong preserving power!.

other drinks (coolers, malt beverage, etc) that contain miscellaneous flavorings or juice can go bad quicker depending on the ingredients

so if its just the smirnoff vodka you are talking about, and it has never been opened, i think you should be ok!.

smirnoff ice products!? well i wouldn't take a chance with that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldn't drink it if I were you! Chances are you'll get sick!.!.!.it does expire, whether it's got alcohol in it or not!
And to the person above, actually wine does expire, if you don't have it sealed!. Red wine is supposed to be consumed up to 3 days after opening! We had a bottle sitting on the wine rack (opened) that we forgot about, and it went mouldy inside!. also I drink Smirnoff and a bottle left outside went mouldy!.!.!.so do the safe thing and throw it out!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Smirnoff will taste expired even when it's brand new!. If you like cheap liquor then drink up!. If you have to ask a question like this when it comes to drinking or eating something, you should always rule on the side of caution!. Nothing is worth getting sick over!. Smirnoff is wrot gut liquor and you could probably get a gallon of that stuff for under 17!.00 u!.s!. Toss it and go get yourself a 12 pack of fresh beer!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Smirnoff isn't carbonated (well, those flavored "ice" drinks might be!.!.!.) so it won't be flat no matter what!. Generally unopened bottles or cans of just about anything don't expire, so as long as you drink all of it within a few days of opening it should be okay!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no the punch will still be there alcohol gets stronger with age, it wont be flat cause its not carbortated and it wont make you sick the worst thing that will happen is it wont taste as goodWww@FoodAQ@Com

Go ahead and drink it, shouldn't be bad, alcohol can sit for YEARS untouched an still be fine!.!.!.

after all wine is aged to perfection!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
