Liver malfunction is one of the side effects occasionally suffered by those taking accutane medications!. Drinking alcohol, which damages liver, while taking accutane treatment may be double punishment for your liver!.
# Similarly, the use of accutane can significantly increase cholesterol and triglyceride levels, the use of alcohol during the accutane treatment will further increase the levels of triglyceride and cholesterol!.
With regards to the blood test--they wouldn't be able to tell from the blood test that you'd been drinking alcohol specifically!. The blood test is to monitor you for liver function, cholesterol, etc!. If your doctor finds that these levels are unhealthy, they will probably make you stop taking Accutane!.
Messing up your liver is a big deal!. If you damage your liver, stopping the medication/alcohol may not reverse the damage!.
I'm not going to scold you for drinking underage!. I did too, most people do!. But drinking at any age while taking liver-damaging medication is asking for serious trouble!. Liver failure is not fun, and taking Accutane has the risk of liver failure all by itself, without adding alcohol to the mix!. Take a look at the Wikipedia page for cirrhosis and ask yourself if the risk is worth it!. Only you can make that decision for yourself!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Accutane is very bad for your liver, alcohol is bad for your liver, you're opening yourself up for liver damage!. There will be PLENTY of time for you to drink over the next 70 years and you most likely won't be on accutane for much longer!. I know you feel like you're going to live forever, heck, the best thing about your age is you don't get hangovers like you do when your 30!. Protect yourself now, you'll be happy (and won't worry as much about your past) when your older!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
