I'm a college student and I'm looking to broaden my horizons in terms of liquor. Any suggestions?!
I'm not talking everyday stuff like vodka and rum!. I've had Soco and Goldschlager and Jager and Triple Sec and I'm looking for other things along those lines!. Nothing too too expensive though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ouzo is an anise-flavoured spirit that is greek!. You can drink ouzo neat or mixed with water!. Ouzo, when neat, is clear but if you add water it turns milky white!. This is normal!
If you don't know what anise tastes like, it's kinda similar to black licorice!. It is freaking amazing!.
Fireball, which is a cinnamon flavoured whisky - great if you like shots! Good mixed with cranberry juice!.
Czech Becherovka, served cold, optional add tonic water (which is then called a beton!. Beton is Czech for "concrete") If you like Jagermeister a lot you'll probably like this one!.
The favourite out here in the sticks where i live, Canadian whisky!!! Wiser's and Alberta Premium to be more specific!. I don't know if you live in Canada too, but Alberta Premium is only available in Canada!. I'm pretty sure you can get Wiser's across the border though!.

If you don't want to mix (aka take shots) then I would recommend buying a mid-range priced Tequila and putting it in the freezer for awhile!.!.!.serve very cold!.
If you want to mix, one of the best shots I have ever had was in Greece called an Enigma!.!.!.take the very cold Tequila, put a drop or two of Bitters and a spash of Gran Mariner!.!.!.cut a slice of orange, pour sugar on the orange and then use a lighter (butane works the best) to carmalize the sugar!. Drink then bite into the orange!.!.!.not only does it taste great but you immediately want to take another!!
Try Anejo Rum!.!.!.it is aged rum that is sweeter!.
also, if you like sweeter drinks, Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum and Cranberry juice is remarkably good!.

Try Mezcal and eat the worm!. It is similar to Tequila, but rarer!. Legend has it if you can finish the bottle and eat the worm you will hallucenate!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
