Answers:
The average smoker takes 45 minutes longer to fall asleep!. And 80 a day is an insane amount!. If you're smoking that much, you're a dead man, not maybe but are!. Go to a doctor and get a prescription for Chantix, this is no joke, you must stop now and anything else I could say would be BS!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

As a stimulant it will increase your heart rate
making getting to sleep take a bit longer until the heart rate settles,
and your are relaxed enough to fall asleep

apart from that, can't think of an other reason it would promote insomnia

BTW - I am a smoker!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes it's a stimulant so it could!. It probably has other chemicals which combined with your stress level or just simply your brains chemistry-could trigger insomnia!. Whenever I used to smoke it seemed to trigger anxiety afterwards!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Personally, last time i smoked a cigarette it made me sleepy!.!.!.one glass of red wine and a cigarette and i was ready for bed!.!.!.i'm a bit pathetic in that sense!. But i could understand that too many cigs could give you insomnia!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Nicoteen is a stimulant so i suppose it would!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
