Can someone recommend a good Riesling?!

Question: Can someone recommend a good Riesling!?
I am looking for a good Riesling that is not dry but not too sweet!. It's for toasting at my wedding so I need to keep it reasonable!. I don't want to go over $35 per bottle!. It can be domestic or imported!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Blue Nun is good as is Chateau St Michelle!. Both are in the $10 range!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have no idea what would be "too dry" or "too sweet" for your particular taste, but I will assume me something that's not a desert wine!. Top-notch rielsings are also made in very small quantities, so you'll have to look hard to find any specific one!. Here's a list of the top scoring ones in your price range, from the past 6 months or so!. If it says Trocken, it will be slightly sweet!. Otherwise, it will be mostly dry!.
In the stores, if you see beerenauslesen or trockenbeerensauslesen (TBA), they will be VERY sweet!.

Here are some "bargain" choices (under $20, 90 points) that might be easier to find:

Leasingham Riesling Clare Valley Magnus 2006

Hogue Riesling Washington Genesis 2006

Pewsey Vale Riesling Eden Valley 2007

Mitchell Riesling Clare Valley Watervale 2005Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'll make this really easy!.

There are 3 very good domestic Rieslings - Chateau Ste Michele, Covey Run, and Columbia Winery Cellarmasters Riesling!.

All of these run between $10 and $12 a bottle!.

My favorite of those is the Columbia Winery Cellarmasters Riesling - it has more "structure" than the others (that I find to be just a little too "thin")!.

The other Riesling that I would recommend is the Piesporter Goldtropfchen Riesling Kabinett!. Kabinett is the least sweet of the Rieslings (although there is a Kabinett Feinherb that is a little difficult to find)!. You can find the Goldtropfchen in a lot of wine stores!. It should not be an issue!. This runs about $18-$20 and is worth the extra bucks!.

Try the Columbia and try the Goldtropfchen and decide for yourself!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

While I definitely agree with the two answers posted, one reasonable bottle I found was the Fuenf (5)!. Affordable, and fruity!. I personally prefer much drier wines, but have found this to be a favorite among friends!.

Don't take my word for it; check this review: http://www!.weinzapf!.com/archives/31

Enjoy the wedding!Www@FoodAQ@Com

My favorite is villa maria!. It is a New Zealand Riesling!. It is drier than American Rieslings but sweeter than some German or Alsatian Rieslings!.

It is one of my favorite wines!.

It will cost you about $12 for a bottle!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
