how long does a empty sealed plastic bottle ( 1 litter ) stay in salted water or the sea without getting holes in it!.!.!. if the water bottle stays on the surface of the sea!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Unless a rock or other "projectile" hits it causing said hole, it would stay that way forever!. Actually a hell of a long time, plastic bottles simply do not break down, they are the bane of our existence!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This question cannot be answered because there are many different types of plastic!. In fact the industry has recently began using corn starch to create a plastic that breaks down rather quickly!.
