Queston about storage of screw top wine bottles?!
I notice more and more wines have screw tops, not just the cheap ones!. What is the proper way to store an unopened bottle of wine with a screw top!.
I'm guessing the temperature would be the same but is it necessary to store it on it's side since you are not concerned about keeping the cork wet!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Wine bottles with natural cork stoppers are stored on thier side to prevent the cork from drying out!. A screw top is not going to let air in from drying because it isn't made from cork it's made from metal or plastic!. You can store a screw top any way you like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

We have like a cellar in the basement area, which is cool and dry!. We lay the bottles down in the wine racks, every now and then we give the bottles a slight turn!. We have both types screw and cork!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
