I understand how beer can be tough to get used to!. You said you play beer games, so I'm assuming you are using a fairly cheap beer!.

Perhaps its just the cheap lagers you have trouble liking!. I know I can't stand the smell of Bud Light, much less fathom drinking the darn stuff (although I also consider myself a beer snob, I just paid $14 for a St!. Bernardus 60th Anniversary Abt 12 Belgian Quadrupel, which is a retired beer that weighs in at 11%, has a cork and comes in a tube much like Scotch does)!.

So, if you're using really cheap beer, like Natural, Keystone, Miller, you might want to trade up, so to speak!. Popular beers for beer games would be more like Bud Light!. The only reason is the low alcohol content, and low flavor!. Probably the only time you'd get me to recommend something like that, and that's only if you're using the really cheap stuff!.

Now, for an enjoyable beer with friends in a relaxed environment and not to play games with, you should consider getting quality beers!. also, pour them into a glass as opposed to drinking them out of a bottle!. Some beginner beers that I've found are easy to like would be Blue Moon, Newcastle, Sam Adams Black Lager!. The first is a wheat beer, the second is an easy to drink brown ale, the last is a schwarzbier which is malt heavy!. For a hoppy beer, you can find Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but if you have trouble with bitterness do realize that hops are where the bitterness comes from!.

There are some people who simply can't drink beer, and will never like it!. Don't force yourself to drink something you hate just because everyone else is!. I'm sure your friends would let you use rum & coke or a screwdriver in place of beer for the games!. Just make sure you mix it down to 4-5% or else you'll lose pretty quickly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Drink a few of your favorite girly drinks or other hard alcohol / mixed beverages before you start in on the beer!. They will reduce your concern for the flavor of the beer, or perhaps your ability to taste it as much!. You may also gain a moderate competitive edge during the start of the games!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I Don't think it's possible to make your self like something you don't like!. However if you continue doing what your doing it might just happen you could end up a alcoholic' and the beer will taste great when there is nothing else so if you want to like beer become a alcoholic!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

try different beers!. you may just not like certain kinds - the difference between the taste of american p-water beer and beer that's $20!.00 a six pack can be as big as the difference in taste of orange soda to grape juice for some people, or some people just don't like it!.if you really don't, quit wasting money on it!. find a drink YOU like!Www@FoodAQ@Com

you can try different kinds of beer!. I don't like beer but I do like the german beers and ales!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

try to use a slice of lemon with the beer when you drink it!. Or try to eat something salty while drinking it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Then don't play beer games with them, get you some coke and rum!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

try a different kind of beer!. i have never liked traditional tasting beer but i do like the dark beers much better Www@FoodAQ@Com
