Anyone been to AAA bartending?!
It's $500 and it seems like the most legit school around anyone been to that one, or been to any bartending school and thought it helped!? I'm just a little torn on how to get into bartending period!. (I'm a terrible waitress) hahaWww@FoodAQ@Com

i didnt go to aaa but i did go to boston bartending school!. i definately learned alot!. there are so many different kids of drinks out there, and at the bartending schools you spend the majority of the time behind an actual bar setting, so when you do get a job you'll be comfortable behind the bar!.
one thing i do have to say is that it can be difficult to get a job after bc most places want soemone with experience!. if the place you waitress at now has a bar, maybe you could ask your manager for a couple bar shifts on the least busy nights until your comfortable!. if the place your at now does not have a bar, your waitressing experience will still help!. apply at lots of different kids of places!. i finally got a job at a slow hotel bar, where i did not make that much money but got a year of experience and then was able to get jobs where i made more tips!. now i'm working at a place where i bartend at big weddings and other functions!.!.!.i love it!

Bartending school is a huge waste of money!. Most successfull restaurants won't hire a Bartender fresh out of Bartending School!. All they do is teach recipes!. They don't teach anything about multi tasking or how to work in a restaurant enviroment!. Besides that, a Bartender should be the best server in the restaurant!. If you are really a terrible waitress then don't even try to get behind a bar!. It is way more stressfull then bartending with way more responsibility!. You could probably bartend at a beer bar with no cocktails and no food!. You can't really screw that up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
for $500!.!.!.!. you can get a good book at a bookstore, and stock your home bar with $495 worth of alcohol, and learn everything you could at these "schools" and have a good time hosting some parties and enjoying yourself!. sounds like a no-brainer to me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
ive been bartending for about 5 years, u dont need to get into bartending school, does it help yes!. but ur best bet would be to get into the bar that your waitressing at and the bartenders can teach you there, thats how i got inWww@FoodAQ@Com
