Which Paton Tequila is smoother, Gold or Silver (aka white)?!

Question: Which Paton Tequila is smoother, Gold or Silver (aka white)!?
Answers:
Generally speaking, the longer a tequila is aged, the smoother the flavor, the darker the color and the more expensive!.

There are 3 true classifications regarding aging for Patron or any other tequila:

Blanco (sometimes called white or silver in the US) - not aged at all
Reposado (sometimes called gold in the US) - minimally aged anywhere from 3-18 months
Anejo - heavily aged anywhere from 18 months to years!.

The aging tends to mellow the harshness of the alcohol and since tequila is often aged in used Jack Daniels barrels, it often picks up more of the charred, bourbon-y flavor of the barrels, giving it a richness and smokiness that blancos will always lack!.

If you're looking for a great tequila to just sip (either straight, on the rocks or chilled), I would go for the anejo!.

Blancos are fine for slammed shots or margaritas, and Repos can go either way!.

I would also add that Patron, while a very good tequila, is overpriced and you can find better for less!. Right now thanks to rappers and heavy marketting, Patron is the "hip" tequila!. Nothing wrong with it, but there are plenty of ones as good or better for less $$!.

My favs include:

Corzo
Herradura
Don Julio
Centinilla

Patron and I would assume the silver, but I personally like Herradura or CazadoresWww@FoodAQ@Com
