Anyone recommend a book on world whiskeys?!
Im looking for a christmas present for a prospective (hopefully!) father in-law, he loves his rare whiskeys and rather than repeating myself by buying whiskey this year, if there was a well presented book on world whiskeys, I would buy it!. Any ideas people!? (Im based in Ireland but il probably have to buy it over the net anyway)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Anything by Jim Murray, his Whisky Bibles are excellent!. I got a paperback in a gift pack along with a bottle of Famous Grouse years ago and I've worn the spine to nothing!. The Grouse wasn't bad either!.
Otherwise, the WHISK(E)Y book is excellent for following the history of distilleries!.
If you're looking for gifts, look for the new glenmorangie miniature set!. It's around 60 bucks and has the entirely new line from the distillery!. The top of the line is 80 a bottle, so a 100ml pretty much covers the cost of the set!.
Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
