How old do you have to be to get into a bar/club? +10 points?!
I'm the type of teenager that never really gets to go out and do anything!.!. but this weekend two of my good friends are going to go to a local bar or two just to hang out and watch karaoke and stuff and they want me to come with them!.
I'm 18 so I can't legally drink, but that's okay because I don't want to, but will I be able to actually get into the bars at this age!?
My friends are 21 and 25 so it's not like it'll be a group of under legal drinking age girls trying to get into a bar!.
I live in North Carolina too, I've tried looking around for the answer to this before I posted here but I've probably overlooked it!.

In most states you are not allowed to be in a drinking only establishment without your parents unless you are the age required to purchase a drink legally!.
In Kentucky you can be in a bar for the entertainment if your are 18 or older and a member of the band and your parents are present!.
Most clubs that serve food allow minors to be in the club as long as they stay on the food areas!.
Your state may be different since everything in NC is ABC controlled!.
You can go to your local police station and they can give you this info!. it is never against the law to ask; but once you are in the clubs; ignorance of the law is not a legal defense against a fine or night in jail!.

I'm not sure about North Carolina but in Wisconsin only people over the age of 21 can go to a club that serves alcohol!. You have to be 21 to go to bars as well but if they serve food you can be at the bar till 6PM!. Once 6PM rolls around everyone has to be over 21!. It probably depends on your state!. Have your friend ask a bartender in North Carolina next time they are out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
im from sc and 20!. ive been able to get into some bigger clubs and not drink!. but if its like a local bar it may be harder to get in and not drink!. especially if they have been busted for underage drinking b4!. so it really depends on the club you are going to!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Most bars ID to get in so they don't have to ID for every drink people order!.
I would suggest going to a bar near a college campus!. Chances are you can get in!.
But use your resources, get a fake ID or use a friends!.

Depends on state laws!. In Arizona unless you are 21 they will not let you enter an establishment that serves alcohol, and usually card everyone at the door!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
