What's a good wine to try?!
I tried drinking some wine the other day and it all tasted like beer to me, and I don't like beer!. What are some good kinds with a more fruity taste or just a better taste all together!? Or what are your favorite kinds to drink!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

A lot of people I know don't like white wine!. The best description of it I've heard is "cat's wee under a mulberry bush"!. But if you're already drunk, then it probably doesn't matter!.
In terms of red wine, I'm in Australia and you can get really good cheap wine from the bottleshop, called cleanskins!. They don't have any fancy packaging, but they're often pretty good!. Usually I just go with a cabernet merlot!. Merlot is like a softer rounder more "chocolatey" red wine!. You can have it by itself, or blended with cabernet to make it kinda lighter!. Cabernet sauvignon - cab sav -is also a fairly mellow one, though I prefer cab merlots!.
Pronunciation: merlot = mer-low
cabernet = cab-er-nay
sauvignon = "savvy-nyon"
I personally would recommend drinking wine with food!. a lot of the time when I try to drink wine by itself, it sort of makes me purse my lips, unless it's a really good wine!.
Shiraz is a red wine a lot of people enjoy, but I find too "strong" - it has a lot of tannins in it which give it a sharp, sour taste!.
Avoid cask wine like the plague!.
Australia produces good wine, particularly from regions in South Australia such as the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale!.
Experiment and enjoy!. You'll find one that appeals to you!. And then you'll probably stick with it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you tend to like sweeter wines I would recommend a Moscato!. It is a sweeter kind of wine, sweet to the point that I have had people tell me it tastes like juice!.
If you don't like that, any kind of Riesling would be pretty safe as well!.
You might also want to try some rose (prenounced ro-zay) wines!. They are generally sweet yet mild, a good rose I would recommend is Zoe!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try any dolce (means sweet) wine, you will love it!. Especially, check the label if the vine produced in Italy take a bottle you will love it!. We go to Italy every year and of course buy wine there to taste!. If you can find Medici--this is very good Italian wine (sweet)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I lean toward the dryer stuff myself!. but I would say, try riesling, the germans are the best!. look for the word "Spatlese" on the bottle ,this is a bit sweeter!. also Sangria!. for fruity you might want to try a brand called Arbor Mist, I personally don't consider this wine!. it is better than Boons farm though!.
