How many bottles of wine do you think I need for my dinner party?!

Question: How many bottles of wine do you think I need for my dinner party!?
I'm having a party with some of my friends for New Year's and I'm wondering how many 750 mL bottles of wine I should get!. I'm getting sparkling wine, and 6 people are going to drink it during dinner and everyone (10 people) is going to drink it afterwards!. I'm going to have other booze and mixers and such, but how much wine do you think we'll need!?

If I estimated 2 champagne glasses per person drinking for dinner (12 glasses) and then 4 glasses per person afterwards (40 glasses) do you think this would be enough!? How many 750 mL bottles would this be!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I just got married, and our caterer told us to plan for approximately 1 bottle for each person!. We also had an open bar, and at the end of the night, there wasn't much wine left!. This was for around 120 people, though, so I don't know how that would work out with just 6 or 10 people, but I feel like 1 bottle per person is a safe bet!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Man, this feels like 5th grade math again) 10 bottles will just fill the quota you have listed here!. One person to one bottle would be a very good estimate to make sure there is more than enough, unless these are very well seasoned drinkers!. Considering you have more on tap, ten bottles of wine is plenty, or get 12-14 to be totally safe and incoherent!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would go with 9 bottles to be safe, depending on the glassware you will use anywhere from 7-9 bottles!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

3 bottles per person and yes I would drink them all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
