Am I allergic to alcohol?!
Whenever I drink vodka or liquor of any sort, regardless of the amount, I get really sick!. It takes a while, but I will always always throw up!. The other night I had the equivalent of about a shot and a half of vodka mixed with soda and I got way more drunk than my friends who drank more than me, and I threw it all up!. However, whenever I drink beer I get just a drunk (usually off of two beers, lol), but I never throw up!. I'm 5'2" and around 125 lbs!. What's going on here!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Interesting!. Alcohol (EtOH) is a very small molecule, and doesnt incur an allergic response, which is usually from proteins!. It IS possible to have an allergic reaction to other things in the drink that originated from the fermented grain or fruit, but in the case of distilled spirits, most of these molecules are no longer in the liquid!. This could be a sign of an ulcer or other stomach/digestive issues!. You should talk to a Doctor!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I have friends who are allergic to it, and they just turn REALLY red!. But still drink it and dont get sick!. Just try to eat a lil bit of something b4 you drink so you dont get sick!.

liquor definitely sneaks up on you, vodka especially!. I don't think you are allergic to it but more likely you simply have an alcohol intoleranceWww@FoodAQ@Com
