Do beverages taste better in thick rim vessels?!

Question: Do beverages taste better in thick rim vessels!?
I have noticed that drinking beer in a thick-rimmed glass container seems to taste better than in a thin-rimmed plastic cup!. Assuming the plastic imparts no "taste", is there any objective validity to mu statement!? If yes, what is the scientific explanation for this phenomenon!? I have also noticed that cool beer poured into a frozen stein taste better than a cold beer served in a room temperature stein!. Any one else experience this!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Drinking beer ice cold actually numbs your taste buds so you really can't taste it!. This ploy was developed by the American mega-breweries so you can't taste how awful their beers are!. In most countries, the beers are served at cellar temperature (about 55 degrees)!. When you drink a beer at this temperature, you can actually taste what's in the beer!. An experienced tongue can tell what hops and what grain (and even what yeast) was used in the brewing process!.

There's no difference in glass or plastic, though glass (because it is thicker) will keep the temperature more constant!. Some glasses, however, are designed to keep the aromatics in longer!.

Yes, I've noticed that myself!.There seems to be significant differences (eg!.) one brand of beer either can or bottle can have several tastes!.(eg!.)warm mug with cold beer or cold beer with cold mug!.We know most domestic beers taste like #%$^when in a can and not chilled!.Aluminum is not a good vessel to store beer in!. I prefer glass from the start myself!.Storage of beer is most important,it is very sensitive to heat!. I check the born on dates of all my beer,I treat beer as I would milk or bread!.Avoid plastic, and aluminum !.cans, aluminum cans are annodized with chemicals when beer ferments in a can in the heat, it can change it's chemical composition!.BEER is food!!!,It's not just for breakfast anymore!I'm no scientist so I couldn't give you the explanation scientifically, but I love the subject gulp;gulp;glug;glugzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The shape of the glass does effect the way beer tastes!. There actually are different beer glasses for different beers the same way there are different wine glasses for different wines!. It has to do with where your nose is while you are drinking and a few other things!.

If your beer tastes better in a frozen mug you should get some better beer!. Having it very cold numbs the tongue and make it release less aroma!. Only recommended for malt liquor and really cheap stuff!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

The colder the beer the better taste!.

Plastic cups won't hold the cold as well as a thick glass or stein!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
