Answers:
Vodka contains Ethanol(EtOH or CH3-CH2-OH)!.
Spoiled food and drink are caused by bacterial or fungal infection!. The ethanol in the Vodka would kill the bacteria or fungus!.

Beer, however, is perfect for some organisms!. Yeast in the beer are able to survive in the beer, because they are producing it using fermentation (lactate decarboxylase and alcohol dehydrogenase)!.

If you're OK with ingesting dead bacteria (which you are doing all the time due to airborne bacteria), then go for it!. You'll be fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The worst that can happen with the vodka is that it will evaporate, it doesn't get better or worse!. The beer, if that's you are referring to when you mention a few cans, they won't be any good, so as someone else said, go get some fresh ones from the store, if you even like beer that much!. It seems that if you keep them around for years instead of drinking them right away, that maybe beer isn't your thing anyway!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hope not, just this weekend, I gave my neighbour a couple of glasses!. and it must be at least 10 years old!. I have also some Southern Comfort which must be at least 20 years old!. He liked that too!. Not being much of a drinker it tasted different to how i remember it!. but it went down OK and were both ready for next week ends session!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

vodka will be fine, but dude why have you got beer that is a few years old!?!?!?!? chuck it out and pop down the shop and buy some fresh beer, easy!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

The vodka is OK!. The beer probably won't kill you or anything but it won't taste good or have any fiz either!. Throw it out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
