When you get the jello, make it as directed, except change the quantity of cold water in the end for alcohol!. Vodka works best since it has less flavor!.
The recipe is probably something like this:
16 oz!. boiling water
6 oz package of gelatin
16 oz cold water
With the cold water, its common to use 10 oz vodka, and 6 oz cold water!. If you don't mind a little extra kick use 16 oz vodka and NO cold water!. They will still set just fine!. its all in the amount of alcohol in it!. 16 oz of vodka would be the same as 8 oz of everclear and 8 oz of cold water, though the everclear would give it a different taste!. Using everclear can give you the possibility to add MORE alcohol, but you risk flavor!.
If its the sugar-free jello, the alcohol content can be higher and still settle!. Its just because of the sugars used!. Remember to still allow the full time for solidifying!.
As for flavors, lime and raspberry have always been good!. They cover up the alcohol flavor pretty well!. Be careful with flavors like grape and cherry!. Some thing they taste like cough syrup!. The little cups are usually found in the napkin and paper plate isle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I make very good jello shots that are a hit at every party!. I usually make anywhere from 2-4 different kinds!. I start out by using 2 packs of jello to make sure that there is plenty of protein to solidify the jello!. Then I boil the 1 cup of water, add the jello, then add 1 cup of cold water and 1 cup of either vodka or everclear!.!.!.though i have made pina colada jello shots that are awesome with pineapple jello and coconut rum!. I usually just pour the liquefied jello into ice cube trays then let them sit in the fridge for a couple of hours!. You end up with a jello jiggler that can easily be handled, with a pleasant taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I just made jello shots for the first time about 2 weeks ago!. We used cheap vodka and blue raspberry jello!. We substituted most of the cold water for vodka and then refrigerated them over night!. They were perfect the next day!. We got the little cups at Walmart in the paper utensils/plates/napkins aisle!. The blue raspberry was good and you could hardly even taste the alcohol!. Everyone loved them and they added a lot of fun to our party! We used the recipe below and they turned out perfect!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Use the appropriate measurement of alcohol in place of the cold water!. You can buy the plastic cups, with or without lids, at most bulk stores or party stores, such as Sam's Club or GFS!.!.!.!. Depends on what stores are in your area!.
Jello and alcohol combinations can be fun!. You can mix any flavor of Jello with Vodka, or you could get creative and mix things like you would an actual drink!. Such as, Pineapple Jello and Malibu/Parrot Bay Rum, ____ flavor of Jello and matching flavor of Schnapps, Lime Jello and Tequilla, etc!. Be creative and have fun!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The little plastic cups are called souffle cups and you can get them at a restaurant supply store for pretty cheap!.
To make sure they harden: dissolve the jello in one cup of hot water!. use the vodka for most of the "cold water", cutting it with a little bit of actual cold water!. This makes the shot a little under 50% vodka, which is still plenty strong, believe me!. You don't want them to taste like crap!. You should put the vodka in the freezer before you do this, by the way!. Get it as cold as possible!.
Then refrigerate for a few hours and you should be good!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Like every one said you use the alcohol in place of the cold water only!. As for flavors I have been thinking about peach jello and peach sparkling wine!. The carbonation in wine would give it a little something extra!. What do you think!?
Oh, once we used the jello gigglers recipe to make giggler shots!. They were great fun!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You need some water in them!. Alcohol doesn't freeze or get solid so you have to used some water in order for them to solidify!.
I use this recipe http://www!.cooks!.com/rec/view/0,173,1281!.!.!.
My friends and i like Kamikaze jello shots!. We usually add a little more alcohol but you do need to use some water rather than just cutting that out completely!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You substitute the cold water for alcohol of no more than 80 proof and then refrigerate them like normal jello!. Dixie cups are available in most supermarkets!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
