§ 203!.01!. TAX ON BEER!. A tax is imposed on the first sale
of beer manufactured in this state or imported into this state at

If you pay taxes when buying a beer in a store!? Yes!.

At a bar!? No but beer prices are inflated to begin with, and if like most people you tip, that's almost like a tax in itself eh!? (Ditto at sporting events)

When bringing GOOD beer back from Mexico!? Yes it's usually a dollar per 24 bottles, the limit per US Citizen 21yrs!. or older per 30 days (though I don't know to what extent customs controls that since you pay the import tax in cash)
