haha i dont think its bad!. my mom and dad were bartenders in some club in florida when they were younger thats how they met!. so of course growing up they tought me everything!. and i dont think its bad as long as they dont let them get drunk and teach them how to drink responsibly when they are older!. thats what my parents did!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

lol there is a mix of answers here

in my opinion, yes it is bad, u are giving out bad signals between right and wrong in early teenage drinking!.!.!.

but if u can find a way to handle the situration in teaching him how to do things but can also show him the bad efects on what it can do to a young body, it may be okayWww@FoodAQ@Com

Your logic is that you want your kid to practice bartending from age 10 to 21(11 years) just so he can have a regular paying job for 1 year before he graduates at 22!? You could make as much serving food at any restaurant!. There are MANY more useful life skills to teach your 10 year old!. So in short!.!.!.no!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Perhaps 10 is too young!. Although I have found that being exposed to responsibly serving and consuption of alcohol has made me less prone to binge drinking!. I mean I see my friends go out and get wasted because they think its cool!. I guess my parents took the cool out of it for me and I'm so thankful for it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Is this a legitimate question!? Do you know that Child Protection Services can take your children away for things like this!!? I can't believe you are condoning this as helping your child out for when he gets into college!. Personally I don't feel that you are fit to be a parent!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well i learned how to make a bitchin' dry gin martini for my mom at age 12, so i could make it for her when she came home on break from work!.!.!.of course, i'm now 29 and i'm a borderline alcoholic, dependent on gin, so you make the call!.

BIG (below) you only need to be 18 to serve!.!.!.in most states!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sure, why not!? Then he'll be able to tell his teachers at school he can make this and that!. I'm sure he won't be partying at an early age either, everything will be fine !.!.!. just make sure you keep an eye on him constantly if you decide to keep making him experiment with alcohol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

First of all, that won't get him a job bar tending in college, secondly I don't know where it is bad or good but it sure is going to alter his perception of what is normal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

of course it is bad,
if you want them to become a bartender teach them when they are old enough to know what it is, and what it can do to your body!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It might be considered contributing to the delinquency of a minor, depending on where you're from!.

Wouldn't you want your son having a better job than bartender!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Its fine the people above me are (mostly) just the worried "SHELTER MAH KIDS" parents who wrap their kids in 4 inches of plastic all over their body when they go outside of the house for any reason!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes are you training him to drink!. Teach him things he can do to stay sober and pass college!. There is enough problems with binge drinking in college!. Dont encourage itWww@FoodAQ@Com

Under age kids shouldn't be handling alcohol!. I hear Jimmy Buffet taught his monkey how to mix margaritas!. Maybe you should get a monkey instead!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yeah, it's bad, and we aren't the morons here!. I feel VERY sorry for your child!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

very bad indeedWww@FoodAQ@Com

You need to teach him some tricks with the shaker!.DO magic tricks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no way
good lady
the younger you let kids around alcohol, the less likely they are to abuse itWww@FoodAQ@Com

Only bad if you are not tipping at least 20%!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
