What is Bourbon!?

Bourbon is a type of American whiskey predominantly made in the southern United States!. It is made of a blend of different grains, with the bulk of the grain alcohol coming from corn, and grains such as malted barley, rye, or wheat making up the rest!. http://www!.wisegeek!.com/what-is-bourbon!.!.!.!.

Wild Turkey 101 Proof Bourbon:

Smooth and richly colored, Wild Turkey Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey is a genuine super-premium bourbon carefully crafted in the heart of Kentucky!. Wild Turkey 101° offers a lesson in traditional American values, most notably, the refusal to compromise on standards of excellence!.

Jimmy Russell notes that unlike some of its competitors, "We make Wild Turkey the old-fashioned way!. It's a totally natural process which takes substantially more time and money, but we believe it's worth it!."

Wild Turkey 101° has an exceptionally soft, but rich aroma for a high proof bourbon, due to quality at all stages of its production!. The taste is an American classic with caramel and vanilla and notes of honey and oranges!. The finish is very long, rich and full-bodied, powerful, yet soothing!.

As many competitors distill at higher (and less expensive) proofs, they must add water to bring down the proof of their bourbons!. Wild Turkey, on the other hand, comes out of the barrel at about 109°allowing our distiller to add little water and retain the true characteristics of the bourbon flavor!. Wild Turkey is put it into the barrel at a lower (and more expensive) proof!. Master Distiller Jimmy Russell likens it to making a great soup; if you cook it longer at a lower temperature, you retain the best flavors!.

Wild Turkey 101° is the recipient of a Bronze Medal at the 2000 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and has also been awarded the American Tasting Award of Exellence!.

It was the worst Thanksgiving ever!. I puked all morning!. couldn't lift my head in the afternoon!. I made it to my families thanksgiving day dinner indisposed!. I couldn't even smell the food!. but i never can say i went without turkey on a thanksgiving!. leave the bourbon in the pie and don't drink but one or twoWww@FoodAQ@Com

What's wrong with y'all!?

Turkey's a FINE bourbon!. Your pie will come out just great!. Turkey and coke, well have two or thee and get back to us!. BUT, I personally enjoy my Turkey with a splash or two of water or over some ice!. Save the bourbon and coke for something a little "lower" shelf!. Happy Thanksgiving!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would recommend Jim Beam for both cooking and mixing with coke and ice!.

Makes we want to have a drink!.

Wild Turkey is good but it is too strong in my opinion and not as traditional and tastey as Jim BeamWww@FoodAQ@Com

Hi, S!

I completely agree with radiorog!. For cooking Kessler or Ten High!.

For drinking, might try Old Crow or Jim Beam!.

I know it's popular to mix with Coke but a classic 'High Ball' is to mix with ginger ale!.

Hope this helps!
