IN THE MOVIES, WHEN THEY DRINK SO CALLED "WINE, BEER,ETC.". IS IT REAL OR JUST SOME KIND OF JUICE?!

Considering they usually have to do several takes of all the scenes, even of the scenes where people should be drinking, the actors would get quite sloshed over the course of the filming!. also, drinks are pretty expensive, while non-alcoholic drinks are usually cheaper!. I know they use water for vodka, grape juice for wine, and other tricks like that!. But for scenes with beer (especially in cans), I'm not sure what their solution would be, though it would take a lot more drinking to get drunk off of that compared to hard liquors!. A semi-professional filmmaker I know (film school student that has several "projects") has told me this, but admits that he just loves having a good time and has done scenes with real alcohol!. But that's just him!. He's not a big movie director, and he does comedies anyway!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
For the most part, as our other friends pointed out, it's usually some imitation!. I've heard that Frank Sinatra would quite often drink real whiskey while filming his movies!. also, on the cast commentary for the movie La Bamba actor Esai Morales talks about a scene where he was drinking tequila out of the bottle, he really was intoxicated!. Over the years, O'douls or even ginger ale has stood in for beer!. Apple juice makes convincing looking whiskey!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Wine won't be real!. Beer, maybe!. Like Vodka, that's just water!. As is Gin and any other clear liquids!. They try to avoid using alcohol, unless they can't find a replacement look-a-like liquid!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
i know that some musicians will fill a 40 oz beer bottle with apple juice and shake it up to get the foam when they go own stage!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
