Has anyone tried the Carlo Rossi Burgundy or chardonnay wine & what do you think of it?!
Answers:
I grew up with Carlo Rossi Paisano!. A 4L jug was always open a thanksgiving or Christmas Eve party!. I loved it!. I still like it!. I've long since moved on to other wines!. I've drunk just about every wine out there short of DRC!. I guess you could call me a wine snob or wine geek or nerd!. I turn my nose up at a 2 buck chuck or all the other cheap varietal out there!. Some people describe those wines as being yummy or delectable and I can't fathom it!.
That said, a good old Carlo Rossi blend!. Not bad!. Soft tannins, easy glide across the palate, a touch of sugar, quick finish!. It ain't Opus, but it doesn't pretend to be!. It doesn't hang some collar with "85pts" on its neck and pretend to be anything other than what it is, a decent, easy drinking jug wine!. I like!. Screwtop, keeps for a couple weeks!. Drink a glass while cooking with it, a little jug goes a long way!.
Thanks for the memories!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
